My gods, I loved Fritz the Night Owl. His disembodied head floating around a star-filled sky while Tangerine Dream-esque Planetarium music played in the background is one of my favorite childhood memories. I managed to make it through "The Ringer" and "Teen Beat" last night. I agree Ringers hair was nice, the song was good at the begining and hideous at the end. "Teen Beat" has a nice voice but it's just not my kind of voice...I don't like him, but he can sing...also is he 12? Or am I just really old and everyone under 18 looks 12?

Look, I admit Brooke is crazy sweet. I'm certain at any moment she could snap and start killing everyone in the audience. In fact she comes across as your typical horror movie killer. It's always the too sweet but too controlling goody two shoes that kills everyone for having sex or forgetting to dust. All I'm saying is that I'm kind of attracted to it. Also, I'm not saying that that is a good thing.

I haven't given Ramiele props since her Dusty Springfield song. She still doesn't know how to dress.

Talk Box is a perfect example why mainstream rock sucks these days.

Tiny Dancer's song was awful last night. Did you hear his cat screech of a falsetto? Awful arrangement and wrong song.

Oh Brad...I so disagree with you about these recaps. Let me point out the main problems:
-Brooke is sickly, horribly, painfully sweet. Only men could possibly buy into her. I think she is sad sad sad. American Idol should have a movement audition, because last night she looked like she had been on antipsychotics too long.
- Ramiele (did they change the way they pronounced her name recently?-didn't it used to be ram-el-y?) is lame.
-David Cook and Tiny Dancer weren't that bad.
-The main point is that Brooke is rid-unc-ulous.
-I'm with you about the Ringer, though. Blackbird is a simple song, and she soooo blew it by belting.

Didn't want to get caught up in it again, but did anyway.

My pick, not to win, but to have a passionate one-month-long plate-throwing love affair with, is Syesha. How she move!

Jason Castro sang Hallelujah and it became my favorite performance of any song I've seen in the show's history. That was great. Also, if they ever wanted to do a Battlefield Earth prequel about Travolta's character, here's your man.

Kristy Lee Cook clearly has some kind of secret deal with the judges. She's the most unappealing hot girl I've ever seen, mostly cause, you know, she can't sing to tie her shoe.

Here's my prediction for Brook White: the other contestants will secretly rig a bucket of blood to fall on her head, she'll go crazy and tear up the auditorium with only her mind. If not that specific scenario, she will at least, at some point, if she makes it far enough, have a huge emotional breakdown on stage.

Finally, Ramiele Malubay should not be subjected to bright light, be allowed to get wet, or be fed after midnight.

"Flashbacks" were a nice touch. Hard to poke small holes in a story about *a giant monster attacking NYC*, but hard to believe the camera holder was able to do all that running-climbing-escaping with one hand always occupied. If you can overlook the glibly (perhaps criminally) co-opted 9/11 imagery, pretty entertaining.
