This was GREAT! I read every word. I like this kind of deal... I think, though, Louie Anderson is already dead. Am I wrong on that? Yeah, I understand the LONG travel day, but... really, can't it be KIND of fun? The plane transfers and the car trip... to MAINE (to me, honestly, that sounds kind of exotic). Maybe I'm easy to please, but Dexter has had me totally hooked all season. I have last night's episode waiting for me at home and I can't wait to go watch it! I actually think Lost is lackluster, obvious, and tries way too damn hard. J.J. Abrams needs to learn how to concentrate on one show and make it awesome instead of abandoning it for others and then having them all be boring. However, Heroes is the most awesome show ever. A) I agree. I'm tempted by this film. A good Newsweek review helped sway me. B) Though I have to take issue with the poster picture you've posted (how's that for a sentence)? I saw this in the lobby of my local flicker show house and I was GREATLY DISTURBED at the placement of the letters in BALBOA. The B is butted RIGHT AGAINST the black border and the A barely touches it. I do a fair amount of graphicy-design work in my job and I see that and just go, "Um... what?" All that is required to correct this is a simple and slight font size downgrade. Takes a full second to do and your poster looks professional. Come on, Rock.

awweee...that sucks. Faith's natural remedy. Crush up some fresh ginger and slice up a lemmon (including rind). In a pot of filtered water boil these two things for about half an hour on low heat. Add a little honey (or maple syrup) and drink it down hot. It will ease your throat and help you sleep. Lots of hot liquids (when I say this I mean one cup after another...preferably herbal tea) sleep as much as you can, and take 1000mgm of C a day. When I do this my cold lasts for about 4 days tops. when I don't I usually have it for 2 weeks.

OMG(osh) - we did something very similar at my Mom's church one Christmas back when I was in high school. I remember tending a stall in the market, and everything smelled like cumin. I don't really remember any angels of the lord or King James English but why not? I do remember old church people wearing gross sandals. I think all of my feet disgust originates from church. Ugh. I'm going to be sick.

- what amp and what speakers are you looking at? - fiddling with HDMI, I have to admit I haven't really seen any appreciable difference between it and component. But then again, maybe I'm just saying that because I'm of the 360/not going to get a PS3 camp, and I'm trying to deflate some of the classic arguments... - I've caught every Heroes, and I have to say I really like the plot and the composition, etc, but the voice-over and some of the tag lines (most notably "save the cheerleader, save the world") are really cheesy. Yeah, this contract will be a noose around their necks in three maybe four years. But, in a weak NL a signing like this can help make you a contender. The Cubs are also all about winning now. You also have to ask why didn't they throw around this money when a younger and better all around player like Beltran was available. Outside of on the field achievements, I think there are two more important factors to this signing. First, it does give the appearance that they are serious about winning and not just cashing in. Second, I believe the rumor that this is simply the Tribune making the Cubs more valuable when they try to sell it, and I'm all for the Tribune selling the Cubs.

of course i thought about you as soon as i heard about the soriano signing, so i had to get your thoughts. i agree that on paper this gives the cubs a genius lineup, but this seems very similar to the rangers' arod signing a few years ago. i don't think throwing money at mega stars is the way to fix an ailing franchise. (just ask yankee fan). scouting, bargain signings, smart trades are the way to go. and i'm afraid this contract will handcuff the cubbies when they have another need to fill in a year or 2.

I had a dream about a week ago that I was playing video games with you. This is ironic on many levels: 1) mainly because I suck and video games 2) I totally SUCK at video games. I usually die in the first few seconds...which always makes me laugh, and quite honestly the funest part for me. Except the one time that I made it for about 2 min. and I was screaming 'go that way' or 'shoot that thing' to the screen. That was fun too. :P

Um, thanks for this? This hurt my feelings. I remember LOVING this bit as a kid, but now I see how incredibly moronic it is. Even the "wink" joke ("trying to eat a hot-dog without a mouth") troubles me. I remember, though, as a kid watching him grab that hot-dog so tightly and think, "Um, I don't think that's how you eat a hot-dog." I was mesmerized by this.
